Tanzania, officially the United Republic of Tanzania, is a country in East Africa, south of the equator, on the Indian Ocean between Kenya and Mozambique. It is the largest country in East Africa, with an area of 365,755 square miles, and a population of about 55 million. Tanzania is mountainous and densely forested in the north-east, where Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa
